Good News!

Just got a text from my friend.
She said that there’s a new update regarding the DepEd Order’s new age requirements for kindergarten and Grade 1.

Last January, DepEd released a new Deped Order stating that a child needs to be 5 years old by June 1 2015 to be accepted in Kindergarten replacing the previous cut-off date which is October 30,2015.

Therefore, kids turning 5 years old from June 2-October 30 2015 need to go back to DayCare or stop for 1 year.

This raised eyebrows of affected parents. Why on earth would they release such DepEd memo at the middle of the school year? Many kids will be affected.

So today, I am happy because a new deped memo has been released exempting this year’s batch for the changes.

Yey! Finally, we wont be coming back to DayCare anymore.
